Even if it hurts for a minute, gotta stretch myself to be in it Going on nightliner tours, splitting up like particles Are you wake enought to feel your crimes Or am I sitting talking to a morning sky Oh my lord Tonight I’ll call you up, might have a delicate cry And tell you: “Not your goddamn fuck, I’m not a gadget you try”  Now Are you lying or are you just high? I might be ready to be gone for real this time To push you But you put up a front, you say your willing to try But I don’t wanna get smashed up, just ‘cause you wanted that ride  So long, so long, so long You’re strong! So tough, but so wrong And just to prove you right, you wanted honeybear to come over tonight You know that, damn right, I got that bad type beating up battery eyes So I look you up Up and down Take a minute stop Cause I’ll come round Yeah I’ll come round  If I told you that it hurt my pride Now would you send me off into the coming tides? Yeah I know, it’s not deliberate, it’s just your carnivore ties I might get smashed up I might be gone for a while So long, so long, so long You’re strong! So tough, but you’re wrong And just to prove you right, you wanted honeybear to come over tonight You know that, damn right, I got that bad type beating up battery eyes And they look you up Up and down Take a minute stop Cause I’ll come round cause I’ll come round  Even if hurts for minute, gotta stretch myself to be in it Going on nightliner tours, splitting up like particles Are you old enough to face these times? Or am I playing chicken with the morning sky? So long, so long, so long You’re strong! So tough, but so wrong And just to prove you right, you wanted honeybear to come over tonight You know that, damn right, I got that bad type beating up battery eyes So I look you up Up and down Take a minute, stop. Cause I’ll come round Yeah I’ll come round

You want attention, not advice No piece of mind A minute longer in this room and I’ll die No need to paraphrase their moderate lies No candlelight I said I missed you, you asked why See you and I Why, do I bore you? Do I bore you? Am I boring you? Do I bore you? My revolution televised Some peace of mind Bring me emotional intelligent guys And I’ll be fine (I’ll be nice) Sometimes I need to learn to live and let die I see the signs You got too busy to reply I wonder why Do I bore you? Do you bore you? Hey Do I bore you? Do I bore you? Am I boring you? Do I bore you? IF YOU WANT CAPACITY GOTTA LEAN INTO THE LOVE YOU BREATH IF YOU WANT CAPACITY GOTTA LEAN INTO THE LOVE YOU BREATH IF YOU WANT CAPACITY GOTTA LEAN INTO THE LOVE YOU BREATH IF YOU WANT CAPACITY GOTTA LEAN INTO THE LOVE YOU BREATH!

about

Lydmor presents her new single, "The Gadget Song" a soft, rainy-day-hymn with a quite personal lyrical universe. It's an emotional, laid-back and alluring song with an all-embracing calm.

“I fell in love with the picture of sitting in a cottage while you hear the rain dripping into jars and pots. I wanted to capture that in the soundscape.” says Lydmor.

Other then previous works "The Gadget Song” contains an acoustic guitar recorded by producer-companion Christian Vium (Go Go Berlin). And even though the guitar is deeply embedded in the electronic sound, it maintains the musical expression of a campfire vibe. The effect renders the listener almost passive and unavoidably drawn into the rainy-soundscape.

“In a way, this song is very personal. There are some things in the text that are very particular to me. It is not so generally knowledgeable. At one point, I sing: ‘even if it hurts for a minute, gotta stretch myself to be in it,’ which is a very specific image of me sitting in a nightliner tourbus and being sad. And thinking about how much I have to stretch myself, even if it hurts a little. ”

Both before, during and after the Corona lockdown, Lydmor experienced how rewarding it is to interact with her fans, and she does indeed have a very loyal fanbase. One of the results of said interaction is the musicvideo for today's single release:

“I have a very dedicated group of superfans who have created a secret Facebook fan-group and subsequently invited me in. There are 150 members worldwide and because of my live streams during the corona-lockdown, I have grown very close to them. Now, I have given them a challenge where I have made the song [“The Gadget Song”] available to them through an online folder and then told them: 'You have to film, there are no rules, but you have to try to film something that looks like what’s already there.” So if one person films something about dancing, then the next person should dance like that too. So it's a collaboration THEY are creating.”
